ProGet vs. Sonatype
Pricing Comparison
ProGet’s direct pricing model makes it easy to understand the cost of our consolidated toolset, achieving feature parity with Sonatype in a single offering.
While your registry configuration and average OSS consumption may vary depending on the size of your organization, we’ve focused on a few typical self-hosted use cases, assuming 100 users, to help you simulate the savings made when you migrate to an integrated product. Why does ProGet cost so much less?
It’s pretty straightforward: our business model.
Inedo products are easy to buy, install, and configure, meaning we can tailor customer support for your needs. Simply request a quote if you’re making a purchase, and visit the forum or create a ticket if you need technical assistance. If your organization’s needs are more challenging, or you need specific product guidance, contact our sales team or arrange on-site support from our engineers when needed.
Cutting unnecessary commission-based sales reps, and acknowledging that most issues can be resolved through our ticketing system instead of mandatory screen sharing-sessions, means we don’t charge for premium support by default, and can keep our costs down and profits high, resulting in a cheaper product for you.
The simplicity extends to our software, too:
ProGet is a modern package management solution, designed from the ground up to handle each facet of the OSS landscape. Unlike external tools like Firewall, Lifecycle, and SBOM manager, which each require separate installation, we don’t scatter our tooling across a variety of modules. Beyond acting as a registry, ProGet’s flexible vulnerability security, license detection and compliance, and SBOM generation and scanning is all included within one installation.
Check Your Configuration Cost
We understand that every organization’s needs are different, and for most companies, your specific requirements won’t be summarized above.
Our COO, Mike Goulis brings 15+ years of industry experience to help evaluate what solutions you have in place, and which configurations of ProGet can help cover your bases at a reduced cost. Together, we’ll design a roadmap to arrive at a minimum price point and for a smooth migration over to ProGet from Sonatype.
